At quarter before nine central time tonight, Ari Fleischer, White House spokesman reported “The disarmament of Iraq has begun.” After that ominous one sentence announcement, at 9:15, President Bush came on and made it official. We are now beginning the campaign against Iraq.

Well, I decided it was finally time for my site to get its own domain name. And so here it is…. I proudly unveil asisaid.com (a.k.a. the site formerly known as Tim's Site). While there is still some dust, I've also taken some time to integrate the journal (the most utilized part of the site) with the other content pages.

Again, Kevin Hartwig has posted a thought provoking piece at sakamuyo 2.0. In it he discusses how we shouldn't “disciminate against” homosexuals and other groups of people in the church. I agree that we should reach out to all people, but I am unsure if I agree with some of the “inbetween the lines” stuff in the commentary. Read on for a link to the original piece as well as my take on it (typos and all).

It seems the folks at Dr. Pepper, the people that thought up the idea of taking the words “under God” out of the Pledge of Allegiance on their cans (although sadly, e-mail rumors attack Pepsi for that instead), are at it again. This time, they are offering non-monetary payment to popular bloggers who promote the new Raging Cow flavored dairy drink without noting that they are being “paid” for doing so.

SCO, who was Caldera, who bought SCO (confused?), has decided that it has received over $1 billion in damages from IBM and now wants Big Blue to show the money. It seems to me that this is just a wild last ditched effort by a has-been Linux distributor (at one point, Caldera was the second largest distributor) to make some money. You can read my entire thoughts on this at Open for Business.

Well, I wasn't sure I was going to make it, but I'm glad I did. I friend of mine had a ticket to a lecture by Dr. Stephen R. Covey for last night, and since he couldn't make it, he gave the ticket to me. Yesterday was a pretty crazy day so I almost decided not to go, but I'm really glad I didn't miss it!

The “World Prayer Team,” and organization I'd never heard of before yesterday, is requesting that Christians pray at 3:33 P.M. today - That is, the third minute of the third sixth of an hour of the third hour of the third day of the third month of the third year of the third millenium. whew! I saw this in my church bulletin yesterday, and saw it again on blogs4God a few minutes ago. Read on for more information.

Kevin Hartwig of “sakamuyo 2.0” posted a message about the many issues of the Christian Church (as in organization). I was responding to the post (see the link, above), and my response grew into something less like a response and more like a blog entry, so here it is… my scattered thoughts on the Church and the problems within.

Note to self: Always check the front page of your blog to make sure it is working after making major changes to the code.
It seems that Tim's Journal was not accessible for about three or four hours tonight because of a bug I created in the code that caused the main page to attempt to load an article created at “0” (the UNIX epoch, that is, January 1, 1970 00:00:00 GMT). Unfortunately, it seems people did visit the site during that time, and sadly one person from blogs4God stopped by and seeing that nothing worked, gave the site a “6” rating (all things considered, “6” is more than fair for a site that doesn't work.
). Oh well, hopefully whomever stopped by will come again now that things are working again.

Well, depending on if you count my blog starting when I posted the first substantial item or if you count the first 'testing' message, my blog either turned a year old on February 21 or will turn a year old March 4. I'll just go with March 4 so that I don't have to admit that I forgot to post something on the 21st… Did I just say that?
By the way, congratulations to Christopher, of What in Tarnation?!?, who achieved a blog entry-a-day for an entire month in February! That's not necessarily an easy task, but he seemed up to the challenge. Considering that he just won an award from me yesterday, he's on quite a roll.
