Twain on Cats
By Timothy R. Butler | Posted at 23:42:41
I heard this last night and thought it worth posting:
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.
I certainly was right about the first part. My cat woke me up several times last night as he tried to take more and more of the bed. But, he isn't spoiled or anything like that.![]()
Cats! On Mother's day, each cat had a gift for my wife. One had a mouse, the other a bird!
Dogs have owners
Cats have staff
Mike: yikes — I think I'd tell the cats to keep their “gifts.” The latter is certainly very true — I'm definitely my cat's, well, butler!
