Love the Ads

Seen in an iTunes Store customer review of the Weather Channel app for iPad, which was a pretty good app at first, but has become extremely slow — brew-a-pot-of-coffee-while-it-loads slow — since the company went crazy plastering ads all over it:

Spyware cleaners typically remove, or at least recommend removal, of anything installable on Windows systems from Weather Channel. My personal source is using GKrellM's weather plugin, which links directly to the NOAA stations.
Yeah, the Weather Channel has a spotty history. Fortunately, spyware is a no go on iOS, but the apps can still be overloaded. The sad thing is that it was a decent app at first, now — without any new features added — it is pretty much unusable.
WeatherBug has a much nicer iOS app.
